On “The Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart remarked that Donald Trump appears to be “clearly struggling” to craft a message now that Vice President Kamala Harris has replaced President Joe Biden as his campaign rival.
“I’m going to help you out,” Stewart quipped on Monday night, as he attempted to offer the former president some advice on how to stay focused on the issues.
However, Stewart didn’t get far, as he presented clip after clip of Trump boasting about the size of his crowds.
“Alright, alright, that’s a key concern for the single-issue crowd-size voter,” Stewart joked, before moving on to other footage.
But even in those clips, Trump continued to brag about his crowds, complained about the media coverage of his rallies, and falsely claimed that Harris was using artificial intelligence to fake the massive crowds appearing at her events.
“Oh my God,” Stewart exclaimed, then sarcastically defended Trump’s AI claim.
“For those watching at home who might be thinking, ‘It sounds like he’s losing his mind,’ just because there’s video and photographic evidence that Kamala Harris’ crowd was real doesn’t necessarily mean it was real,” Stewart said. “And you might say, ‘Oh, but Jon, I was actually there, I was in the crowd.’ Well, have you considered that you’re not real? Have you considered that?”
And that’s not even the strangest claim Trump has made.
