Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain in jail as his sex trafficking trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025. The trial date was confirmed during a status hearing on October 10, following Combs’ arrest in mid-September on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and using transportation for prostitution.
Combs’ legal team recently filed an appeal for bail, arguing that concerns over witness intimidation were baseless and that he had taken significant steps to ensure he would face the charges. However, the judge denied the bail request, keeping Combs in custody at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.
Prosecutors allege that Combs participated in orchestrated sexual events, distributed drugs to control victims, and used coercion to force them into sexual acts. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
