Former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has expressed doubts about the survival of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating that it would take divine intervention for the party to overcome its current crisis. Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Fayose highlighted that the internal suspensions and conflicts within the PDP have reduced the party to an embarrassing state.
He stated that only divine intervention or a miracle could restore the PDP as a strong political party. According to him, the arrogance and poor management by a few individuals have damaged the party, comparing it to a body suffering because of a sick head.
Fayose remarked that the internal suspensions and counter-suspensions within the leadership have made a mockery of the party, dragging it down to a level of unnecessary embarrassment.
