Joe Rogan, America’s most popular podcast host, defends his choice to decline an interview with Kamala Harris following his record-breaking interview with Trump.

Joe Rogan, America’s most popular podcast host, recently shared why he turned down an interview with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris due to certain conditions she wanted in place. Rogan stated that he offered Harris “an open opportunity” to join him anytime in his Texas studio for a conversation.

Discussing the issue on his latest episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” he explained, “She had an opportunity to come. You might think I’m being difficult, but when she was in Texas, I gave her an open invitation. I told them, anytime. If she finishes at 10, we’ll start at 10. I’ll do it at 9 a.m., 10 p.m., midnight, whatever works for her,” he said.

Rogan defended his decision to decline the interview after Harris’s team required him to travel to her, limited the chat to just one hour, and indicated that some of her team might be present in the room. This decision followed his recent, highly successful three-hour interview with former President Donald Trump, which has since become a record-breaking hit online, amassing over 41 million views on YouTube within a week.

After Trump’s appearance, which attracted millions more than popular events like the World Series opener, Rogan also hosted Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, though the release date for that episode is not yet confirmed. In contrast, Harris’s recent appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast garnered around 687,000 views in its first three weeks on YouTube.

Addressing the Harris interview issue further, Rogan explained, “They actually reached out after finding out Trump was coming on. I thought, ‘Great, I’d love to talk to her.’ But setting it up was challenging.” He added, “They wanted me to travel, but that means other people would be in the room, and they’d likely want to control things. My goal with her, as with Trump, was simple—just sit down and talk, like people. No agenda. I don’t care what we discuss. I just want to know, who are you?”
