An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered the remand of 33-year-old Comfort Olajumoke Olalere Tinubu at the Agodi Correctional Facility in Ibadan for the alleged murder of her 39-year-old husband, Oluwasegun Tinubu.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, informed the court that the defendant allegedly stabbed Oluwasegun with a knife during a dispute at their home in Zone 5, Gbelu, Iyana-Agbala, Ibadan, at 9:00 p.m. on October 30, 2024.
The prosecutor added that the offense violates Section 316 and is punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi did not take Olalere’s plea, citing a lack of jurisdiction, and ordered her detention pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The case was adjourned until March 5, 2025, for mention.
