Quito (Ecuador): Ecuadorian international Marco Angulo tragically passed away on Monday, after being hospitalized since October 7 following a car accident.

The midfielder was rushed to the hospital after the vehicle crashed into a metal structure at 4:30 AM, causing head injuries and a lung contusion that required a chest tube.

Two other Independiente Juniors players, Roberto Cabezas Simisterra and Victor Charcopa Nazareno, who were also in the car, had died last month, according to the Daily Mail.
