Peter Okoye has reacted to a viral video showing a French band performing Psquare’s hit song “Testimony (Taste the Money)” during a state dinner in Paris. The event, held at the Palais de l’Élysée on Thursday, was part of President Bola Tinubu’s three-day state visit to France, aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
The band’s energetic rendition, with a unique French twist, received applause from attendees, including President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who seemed to enjoy the performance.
Peter shared the video on Instagram on Friday with the caption: “Enjoy your weekend! 🫣 #TasteTheMoney,” which generated mixed reactions from his followers.
This post comes amid ongoing tension between Peter and his brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy. Paul has accused Peter of appropriating a song titled “Winning,” which he claimed was intended for his upcoming album. Producer Vampire Craze revealed that the track was produced in 2022 during a brief Psquare reunion.
This accusation adds to the longstanding rift between the brothers, which ultimately led to the breakup of Psquare.
