Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has come to the aid of a married woman who was allegedly brutally beaten by her husband and thrown out of their home along with their baby in Anambra State.
In a distressing video shared online, the woman was seen holding onto her baby as they slept in a bush. Some kind-hearted individuals later assisted her and took her to a safe place. Gwamnishu eventually met with her and arranged for her and her children to receive medical care at a hospital.
Sharing the video, Gwamnishu wrote:
‘’Got tagged on @barristerstrpeet and on Sunday morning, we left Asaba to Anambra in search of the woman. She’s mother of two suffering from serious Domestic Violence with untreated injuries. She’s mentally stable but……….. NEXT POST.
We dropped N100,000 with Mr. Onyeka, he was the man that found her in the night lying down with her child.
Let’s support her.”
