Elon Musk’s $101 billion Tesla pay package has been blocked again by Delaware Chancery Court Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick. Despite being approved by Tesla shareholders in June, the court ruled the package unfair to shareholders and criticized the board’s close ties to Musk.
The judge rejected Musk’s attorneys’ arguments, stating the board failed to prove the package’s fairness. Musk, who earns through stock options rather than salary, holds several leadership roles, including SpaceX and X. Recently, Musk was tapped by Donald Trump to co-lead a new federal efficiency department.
