The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the death of Ikem ThankGod, widely known as ‘General 2Man,’ a notorious leader of the Greenland cult involved in numerous violent crimes, including kidnappings, armed robberies, and murders in Ahoada East and West LGAs.
Commissioner of Police Mustapha Bala disclosed that General 2Man was linked to multiple atrocities, including the killing of a Bolt driver in December 2023, the murder of oil workers, pipeline vandalism, and the shooting of a police officer. He also targeted communities like Obologbolo and Akinima.
The cult leader was killed on December 5, 2024, during a failed operation. Police recovered weapons, including two AK-47 rifles and live ammunition, while other gang members fled with injuries.
Bala urged the public to report individuals with bullet wounds and assured residents of increased security patrols and raids on criminal hideouts across Rivers State.
