José de la Torre, the 37-year-old star of Netflix’s Spanish series Toy Boy, has passed away after battling an undisclosed illness, according to Montilla Digital. His funeral took place on December 6. De la Torre was best known for his role as a male stripper wrongly convicted of murder in Toy Boy, which aired for two seasons on Atresmedia. He also appeared in series like Amar es para siempre and Servir y protege.
Spanish actors paid tribute to him on social media, with actress Lolita Flores expressing her grief, saying, “Life is so unfair sometimes,” and Luisa Martín sharing her heartbreak over never hearing his voice again. De la Torre is survived by his parents, Antonio and Maria Jose, and his sister, Marina.
