Let me talk about this drama surrounding VeryDarkMan (VDM) and the alleged N180 million “missing funds.” Honestly, I was just as shocked as many of you when VDM dropped that bombshell video on Friday, December 27, claiming hackers breached his NGO website and siphoned N180 million, leaving only N20 million behind.
Like everyone else, I wondered, “Could this really be true?” Nigerians were understandably furious, and social media was ablaze with reactions.
But here’s the twist. Singer Dammy Krane came out this evening on Instagram to clear the air. According to him, VDM is actually renovating a school in Jos and was just joking about the stolen funds. Yes, you read that right—it was all a prank!
Now, this changes things. While many were quick to criticize, it seems VDM may have had a larger purpose behind the story.
On top of that, Human Rights activist Omotayo Williams pointed out that the man VDM featured in his video, claiming he was an officer accompanying him to Jos, is allegedly a well-known member of the Kogi State Taxi Taskforce.
Honestly, I don’t know what to make of this. Was it really a harmless prank, or is there more to the story? Whatever the case, I hope the truth comes out, and if there’s truly good work happening in Jos, let’s focus on that instead of the drama.
