Man Arrested After Warehouse Found Packed With Stolen Goods: Sheriff’s Department

A man was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property at a Southern California warehouse packed with over 300 pallets of stolen goods, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in an Aug. 4 press release.The man, identified only as 33-year-old Yong Li, was arrested Aug. 2 after investigators with the sheriff’s station in Moreno Valley served a search warrant on the warehouse, located in the 3400 block of De Forest Circle in Jurupa Valley, a city about 45 miles east of Los Angeles.The warrant was obtained after a months-long investigation by the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s station’s Special Enforcement Team, which began investigating a retail and trailer-cargo theft ring in February 2024.

Li was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional facility in Banning. He is charged with receiving known stolen property, credit card forgery, and theft, with an aggravated white-collar crime enhancement, according to the sheriff’s department.His next court date is Aug. 14 at the Riverside Hall of Justice.The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Sultan with the Moreno Valley station at (951) 486-6700.
