Former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole publicly sought forgiveness from Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin, for any past grievances during a speech at Igbinedion’s 90th birthday celebration on September 14 in Benin.
Oshiomhole, who now represents Edo North in the Senate, expressed his gratitude for Igbinedion’s support during his 2007 and 2008 gubernatorial campaign and acknowledged that his victory would not have been possible without it.
He apologized for any past wrongdoings, emphasizing his respect and appreciation for Igbinedion’s role in his political career and requested his forgiveness.
