Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly in advanced talks to join Marseille in January after his four-year suspension for doping was reduced to 18 months. Pogba is close to terminating his contract with Juventus, where he has been sidelined for 14 months due to the ban and injuries.
According to reports, Pogba has been in negotiations with the Ligue 1 side for several weeks and is expected to finalize the deal once he resumes training in early 2024. Although his ban prevents him from playing until March 2025, a move to Marseille seems likely during the winter transfer window. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced his suspension after ruling that Pogba had not intentionally ingested the banned substance DHEA.
This transfer could reunite Pogba with his former Manchester United teammate Mason Greenwood, who also joined Marseille.
