The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has announced the suspension of its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN.
Since 2023, the PDP has been grappling with internal conflicts, with Ologunagba and Ajibade recently becoming prominent voices urging National Chairman Umar Damagum to comply with the party’s constitution in its daily operations.
Chinwe Nnorom, the PDP National Director of Publicity, revealed in a statement released early Friday that the party has formed a committee, led by Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja, to investigate the issues raised against the two officers as per the party’s Constitution.
The statement included, “The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during its 593rd meeting on Thursday, October 10, 2024, has directed National Publicity Secretary (NPS) Hon. Debo Ologunagba and National Legal Adviser (NLA) Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN, to step aside.”
