The Commissioner announced that Akwa Ibom has allocated N208.16 billion for both new and ongoing projects.

As of October 18, 2024, the Akwa Ibom State Government has spent N208.16 billion on various projects, both new and inherited, according to Professor Eno Ibanga, the Commissioner for Works and Fire Service.

Under Governor Umo Eno’s administration, significant progress has been made, including N51.96 billion allocated for 36 inherited Federal Government Projects and N151.66 billion for 61 new initiatives under the ARISE Agenda.

Ibanga assured the public that all road projects will be completed, despite delays on the Tabernacle Road project due to heavy rainfall. He also mentioned ongoing road reconstructions and upcoming project inaugurations.
